Ways You Can Help
We are looking for volunteers to serve in the following capacities:

Office Volunteers
Assist with day-to-day office tasks such as data entry, mailings, answering phones and organizing files. Requires signed Conflict of Interest/Ethics Agreement (annual) and cleared Background Check.

Fundraiser/Special Events Volunteers
Help the Foundation to plan and host events to raise funds for wishes. Events include annual Golf Tournaments, Race for Wishes, Scavenger Hunt, Kids’ Triathlon and Adult Triathlon. Click here to learn more about Make-A-Wish Special Events.

Community Events & Promotions Volunteers
Support community events and/or promotions held by corporate partners. Opportunities range from staffing registration booths, helping with ticket sales or similar, or serving as a Make-A-Wish representative at site of the promotion. Click here to learn more about Events & Promotions.

Kids For Wish Kids Volunteers
Visit and speak with school groups and youth organizations about the work and importance of the Make-A-Wish Foundation to encourage youth fundraising efforts for wishes. Click here to learn more about Kids For Wish Kids.

Wish-granting Volunteers
Work in teams of two to meet with wish families, help the child discover his/her most heartfelt wish and help to enhance the wish experience. Must be 21 years of age and requires signed Conflict of Interest/Ethics Agreement (annual), cleared Background Check and mandatory attendance at specialized training sessions.

Meet-and-Greet Volunteers
Assist families at the airport as they depart for and/or return from their wish experiences. Must be 21 years of age and requires Conflict of Interest/Ethics Agreement (annual), cleared Background Check and mandatory attendance at specialized training session.

Bilingual Interpreters
Help to facilitate wish experiences for non-English speaking families. Interpreters have the option of becoming fully trained Wish-granting Volunteers, or they can provide short-term support on an as-needed basis. Requires Conflict of Interest/Ethics Agreement (annual) and cleared Background Check.

Wish Ambassadors
Represent the Foundation at a variety of speaking engagements to promote awareness of our mission, raise funds or recruit volunteers. Requires Conflict of Interest/Ethics Agreement (annual).

Creative Support Volunteers
Contribute your specialized skills (such as photography, graphic design, carpentry, or computer set/software installation) to a variety of organizational activities including wishes and fundraising events. Requires Conflict of Interest/Ethics Agreement (annual) and cleared Background Check.
