Tribute Gifts
Make-A-Wish Tributes Gifts are a unique way to celebrate a birthday, share congratulations, or express appreciation. Honor the special people in your life and share the power of a wish.

Honor & Memorial Tributes

For individuals/corporations making a tribute donation:
  • The Foundation kindly requests a minimum gift of $10 per tribute. Please include the following information:
  • Name of the individuals(s) you are honoring or remembering
  • Contact information of the individual(s) you would like notified
  • An explanation of the occasion (i.e., 50th birthday, wedding anniversary, in memoriam)
  • Your name and address
Once we receive your gift, we will send a warm personalized letter to inform your friends/family of your thoughtful tribute. Or, we can send a letter to you to enclose in a card or present in person.

For families requesting donations in memory of a relative:
Families may request memorial donations to the Foundation after the loss of a relative, in lieu of flowers. Please inform our office of your intention to do so by calling 301-962-9474. We will then notify your family of all donations received in your loved one’s memory. Please ensure that the funeral home has our current organization name and address to print in the obituary.

For funeral homes:
Funeral homes in the Mid-Atlantic may request Make-A-Wish Memorial Donation Envelopes to offer to families. To request envelopes, call our office at 301-962-9474.

Wedding Wishes & Special Occasion Tributes
Our “Wedding Wishes” program offers a meaningful, touching alternative to standard wedding favors. In lieu of favors, you can make a gift to the Foundation in honor of your guests. We provide elegant, customized cards that you can place at each guest’s table setting. Beyond weddings, our tribute cards can be customized for any occasion, such as an anniversary, retirement, or milestone birthday.

Birthday, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Graduation Wishes: Tributes for Children
If your child is celebrating a birthday, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or graduation, you can request donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in your child’s honor, in lieu of presents. Your child will receive a special letter acknowledging the gifts received in her name and will experience the joy of helping another child in need! We can provide Make-A-Wish donation envelopes to include in party invitations and Make-A-Wish balloons for your party.
