Become a Corporate Wishmaker Working in partnership with our Program Services Department, your employees can be part of creating the magic of a wish. For each one of our wishes, we create some magical enhancements, often provided through Corporate Wishmakers who create a “Wish Sack”. It might be a knapsack filled with sand toys, towel, sunglasses and disposable camera for a child heading off to Walt Disney World® Resort, while it might be the perfect software for a computer wish. We give you the description of the wish and the age of the child - employees can use their imagination and have fun with this project! Include Make-A-Wish Foundation in Your Workplace-Giving Campaigns Make-A-Wish Foundation is included as an option in many workplace-giving campaigns. Our brand and reputation make it one of the most frequently designated charities by employees. Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid Atlantic can help you design a simple plan that encourages employee participation. Some companies also provide a matching gift option. Start an Employee Volunteer Initiative Companies that provide volunteer opportunities for employees are growing in number and Make-A-Wish Foundation has a number of important corporate volunteer partnerships that create a win-win situation for our Foundation and the company. Other companies host “lunch and learn” sessions for their employees. We are happy to provide a speaker for a corporate function, or create a special volunteer training program on-site, or invite your employees to be a part of regularly scheduled Make-A-Wish volunteer orientation meetings throughout the Mid-Atlantic area. Join Our Inner Circle Partners and Fulfill our “Wish List” The Foundation’s day-to-day expenses — from the rent and telephone, meeting facilities and hosting cultivation events, to printing and postage — are all part of making a child’s dream come true. As a member of the Foundation’s Inner Circle, you can help defray part of our administrative expenses, with a cash or in-kind donation (printing our brochures or holiday cards, for example) so that more of our resources can go directly to granting wishes. For additional information about enlisting your employees, please contact your local office and speak with a member of our development team or contact our Major Gifts Officer Anna Tate at atate@midatlantic.wish.org. |
